KALININGRAD MYSTERY
Story
The Kaliningrad Regional Amber Museum is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. For decades, speculation has surrounded the legendary Amber Room—yet it has never been found. This fragrance is a tribute to that enduring mystery.
This project sparked our desire to create a scent that could somehow capture its story.
Kaliningrad Mystery opens with a distinctive note of cypress, evoking the scent of a forest on a rainy, humid day. Gradually, a blend of Bulgarian rose and jasmine begins to bloom, allowing a confident entrance for darker, spiced notes of incense, patchouli, and pepper at the heart.
The suspense lingers. In the base, a unique fusion of Laotian oud and amber emerges, supported by sandalwood and cedar, creating a deep woody accord reminiscent of a charred tree standing in the heart of that same forest.
“The search for the fabled Amber Room continued. In 1946, Königsberg became part of Russia and was renamed Kaliningrad. Two major investigations revealed no trace of the room. Soviet specialists explored hundreds of locations across the city, including the ruins of the town’s castle. In the 2000s, teams equipped with advanced technology continued the search, uncovering artworks and jewelry hidden within the castle’s basement—but still, no Amber Room.”
